Symphony No. 1 'Elixir' - world premiere of 3rd Movement ('Quest')

'Quest' - the third and final movement of Keith Burstein's Symphony No. 1 'Elixir' - will be performed as a world premiere by Southbank Sinfonia (conducted by Simon Over). This concert will be part of the annual Proms @ St Judes series, which also premiered the symphony's first movement - 'The Splendour Of Light' - in 2006. The concert programme also includes Mozart's Symphony No. 40 and Mendelssohn's 'Fingal's Cave' (Piano Concerto No. 1) featuring pianist Evelyne Berezowsky.

The Trainer - second performance of play

'The Trainer' - a play inspired by Keith Burstein and Dic Edwards' opera Manifest Destiny and the following libel case - was performed as part of the Two Plays For Gaza benefit event (raising funds for Gaza Music School and Stop The War). The performers included Janie Dee, Jana Zeineddine, Roger Lloyd Pack and others. There was been a short article in 'The Independent' here, covering the play's transfer to the Hackney Empire.
